Ottawa, Ontario – April 2026 – The Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC–Canada) is pleased to announce the successful completion of a pro bono consulting engagement for The Ankekuluk Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering land-based wellness and education programming for Inuit youth.
Through the CMC Pro Bono Program, Rodney Evely, FCMC, provided strategic fundraising advisory services to support the organization’s ambitious campaign to secure approximately $1.9 million in funding to launch its programming and acquire a permanent facility.
The engagement focused on building a comprehensive fundraising strategy and toolkit, enabling The Ankekuluk Initiative to clearly articulate its mission, engage funders effectively, and accelerate its path to program delivery.
Rodney’s work included the development of a dual-track fundraising strategy, addressing both immediate operational needs and long-term capital investment. He designed a compelling narrative framework, prioritized funding pathways, and established a structured workplan to guide leadership efforts.
In addition, he created a modular fundraising engine, including grant-ready materials such as organizational backgrounders, program logic models, and detailed budget templates. These tools allow the organization to efficiently pursue multiple funding opportunities without duplicating effort.
To support execution, Rodney also delivered a launch playbook and donor engagement strategy, including website messaging, investor presentations, and a structured donor stewardship system to strengthen relationships and long-term support.
“This work has brought clarity and structure to something that initially felt much larger and more complex than we understood,” said Anke Krug, Executive Director of The Ankekuluk Initiative. “It has given us a stronger foundation and a clearer path forward as we move toward securing funding and beginning program delivery.”
The project has already contributed to significant organizational progress, including formal incorporation, governance development, and the establishment of key funding relationships with national foundations and partners.
If funding is secured, The Ankekuluk Initiative plans to deliver multiple program cohorts annually, serving Inuit youth through culturally grounded, land-based education that fosters belonging, resilience, and long-term community leadership.
“The Ankekuluk Initiative represents a deeply meaningful and high-impact initiative,” said Rodney Evely, FCMC. “My goal was to help translate a powerful mission into a clear, actionable fundraising strategy that resonates with funders and partners. I am confident in the team’s ability to bring this vision to life.”
