The Whova Event Platform Lives On!

Available now only through the Whova CATALYST Platform, to registered attendees;

  • All session presentations, located under ‘documents’
  • All session recordings, located under ‘video gallery’ or under each session in the agenda

The Whova CATALYST 2020 Platform is open to you until January 28, 2021 via Chrome browser and until April 28, 2021 via mobile app.

If you registered for the CATALYST 2020 conference and no longer have access to the Whova app for recorded sessions and presentations, please see below.

The Whova Event Platform

Below is information on updating your event profile, how to access the recorded sessions, building your personal agenda, scheduling virtual meetings, virtual networking, and downloading our official event APP.

The steps to access the conference materials via the Whova event platform are outlined in the guides below. You can do this at any time leading up to or post conference and connect to the Conference Main page to confirm your access. 

Event Profile
If you have not already populated your event profile within the event platform, we strongly urge you to do so. This will help build our online event community, as well as allow others to connect with you virtually.  The event platform will be your main access to the live sessions.

We have provided 2 guides, computer and mobile to help you get set for next week.

When you registered you received an email from Whova with instructions for logging into the site. Here is the conference link This link will take you to the web app (computer portal).  “Sign up here” if you don’t have an account yet and fill in your email and password. Make sure to use the email address you used when registering for the event. When logging in, you will automatically be taken to the conference main page.

If you do not remember your username or password please email - and we will resend on your behalf. Please ensure to check your spam folder as communication may have gone there.

Please ensure to use GOOGLE CHROME when accessing the event browser/platform. Download the browser here if you don't have it already. 

Accessing Online Sessions
During the conference, sessions will become ‘live’ on their respective times and dates. You will be able to view all sessions. Sessions will not be available earlier or later than their scheduled time. Recordings will be available to registered attendees via the event platform for 3 months following the conference.

To access the session you wish to view, please follow these steps:

  1. From the Conference Main page click on AGENDA.  You will see each session.  Just click on the relevant session at the scheduled time or a few minutes earlier and, voila, you are in
  2. When viewing the agenda, hover over the session you wish to view and it will become a live link for you to click. Please remember you will need to log into your event login to view the sessions next week.


  • All sessions are in the EDT Time Zone.
  • Each session allows for a maximum of 500 attendees.

CPD Points
Each virtual session is eligible for 1 CPD point, up to a maximum of 12points. Recordings of sessions will be available to delegates only until Jan 28, 2021.  Listening to the recording, rather than participating in the actual session, will only be worth half a CPD point.

CMC Designation holders must enter their own activity. If you do not know how to enter your CPD points, please reach out to your institute membership coordinator or visit the CPD info page

Building Your Personal Agenda
Within your event profile you will be able to create a personalized agenda which you can export for your records. When logged into your event profile through the website or APP, you will be able to select specific sessions you want to attend and view (by clicking on the heart icon next to the session). This will create a personalized agenda in your profile that you can download.

Start or join a Virtual Meetup
Within the event platform you can pre-schedule virtual meetings with our sponsors, speakers, and attendees.  Go to the Community Board and find the board for Meetups and Virtual Meets. Find the meeting you are interested in, join directly, or click into it to see more details, and then click “RSVP”. If you have a meeting link, you can copy-paste there. Otherwise, you can use Whova’s virtual meeting room.

Virtual Networking:
When you sign in to the event app for the first time, you will be asked: “Would you like to network with other attendees by listing yourself in the attendee list?” If you answer yes – you will be able to view the Attendees tab and will be included in the attendees list. On this page you will be able to see the full list of attendees, and visit their profiles, as well as message one another. In addition, you can also start a discussion on our community board where those registered can answer directly to your post and the thread.

This networking event will feature a dynamic series of breakout sessions and networking opportunities for attendees on topics of the day. Have fun, get engaged, meet new colleagues and maybe even win a prize. Some of our prizes will be awarded for participation during the conference on the event platform. Conference APP
The CATALYST 2020 Conference Platform is now available for download. The Whova app is free to download. Open the Apple Store or Google Play on your mobile device and search for “Whova.” Or, visit in your mobile device’s web browser.

When you have found Whova, click to download and install the Whova app.
